Why should we first apply for a non-profit residence visa? Because, from experience with many other cases, it is usually very complicated to obtain a residence visa for the creation of a business activity, while a non-profit residence visa is much easier to obtain at a consulate.
In addition, it is not advisable to initially apply for a residence visa for the creation of a business activity due to the high bureaucracy regarding the documentation involved in the process of applying for this type of visa.
2. How to change from a non-lucrative residence to a lucrative one
From experience, we know that it is much easier to apply for a non-profit residence visa, once 10 months have passed we can renew and then change to a lucrative residence in a very easy way as we do it from Spain as a resident and in a telematic way being resolved in a provincial immigration office, which is extremely faster and less complicated than doing it from a consulate.
To change from a non-profit to a lucrative residence, it is sufficient to present a small business activity project.
