How to obtain the residency for social integration in Spain successfully

Table of contents:
1. Proofs that we must provide
In principle, we must provide proof that we have resided in Spain for the last 3 years, providing proof every 120 days maximum
In these proofs, it is fundamental to provide for example certificates of census, receipts of money remittance, receipts of medical assistance, among other proofs that we can provide
These other proofs can be, for example, telephone bills or bank movements, although these proofs are less important and have less value at the time of requesting the residency but equally valid, we remember that between each proof there must be a maximum of 120 days
2. Necessary documentation
Then, to get the residency, we must provide different required documents such as certificates of census registration, proof of a non criminal record from the country of origin with its corresponding authentication or apostille of The Hague and with sworn translation.
3. Self-employed and employed work
However, the most important thing is to demonstrate that we can work in Spain by providing a pre-employment contract or demonstrating that we can be self-employed, this last option has been made more flexible thanks to the new immigration regulations recently approved in Spain.
This new regulation allows that it is not necessary to make an important economic investment and generate employment when creating a self-employed business project.
Now, our own employment is sufficient to generate employment and the initial investment of the business project is also sufficient as the minimum investment required.
This means that the great advantage of the new approved regulation is that it guarantees the success of the application for a residency for social integration if we create a small self-employed business project with a minimum investment.
On the other hand, when trying to provide an employment contract, it is common to find complications to obtain such a contract, in addition to the fact that there have been cases in which false contracts have been provided and later discovered by the police, therefore these contracts are currently reviewed with greater rigidity, compared to self-employed business projects.
There are even cases in which, when a residence permit is granted for self-employment, we can then also agree to work for others, supposedly no more than 30 hours a week, but from experience we know that it can be allowed contracts of up to 40 hours a week.
Once we have obtained the initial residence permit for one year, the first renewal will be for another year, but then the next renewal will be for four years and in such renewal it is indifferent to renew the residency either as self-employed or employed, since in this case one option is not more difficult to obtain than the other, a fact that turns out to be a great advantage.
We should not forget to mention that the social security payments are only 80 euros per month during the first year, another fact that makes it easier to obtain the residency.
It is also important to present correctly our declarations of business activity with a minimum profit, which is always advisable that this profit is greater than the figure of the IPREM, in this way we assure the success of the renewal of the residence.
Even if we have losses or we have debts with the social insurances, the new approved regulation of foreigners guarantees us that we will obtain the renewal.
Finally, we would like to remind you that from this office we can process the residence permits for national social integration, thanks to the fact that the whole process is currently digital, being enough that you have sent us the necessary documentation previously scanned, and we can also get you the viability certificate necessary for your business project to go ahead.
