We are going to analyse, below, the financial means necessary to apply for non-profit residency in this year 2023.

For this analysis, we have always based ourselves on the IPREM that is established every year at the beginning of the year, which is currently 600€ for this year 2023, but what is the IPREM?

The IPREM is the amount established by the Spanish administration as the minimum subsistence amount, that is, the minimum amount of money that a person needs to subsist.

To apply for non-profit residency, the first member of the family has to earn 4 times the IPREM, which would be 2400€ per month (4 times 600€), that is the minimum amount that a person must earn to apply for non-profit residency on a monthly basis, or its equivalent on an annual basis.

For each additional member of the family, other than the first member, we will have to add 600€ more per month, therefore, for two people the total amount would be 3000€ (2400€ plus 600€), this amount would be the minimum amount that two people would have to earn on a monthly basis to be able to apply for the non-profit residency.

What does this mean? That a single person would have to prove that they have a minimum monthly income of €2400, while two people, such as a married couple or an adult with a minor, for example, would have to prove €3000, then three people would be €3600, four people would be €4200, and so on for each additional member.

It should be noted that persons, who have income as a manager or from a job or business and who can delegate the functions to another person, can also apply for non-profit residency, just as a person who works as a digital nomad could also under certain conditions apply for non-profit residency.
